Florida Voters Pass Amendment 2

The voters of the state of Florida have approved a Medical Marijuana Amendment #2. This amendment will allow certified physicians ( like those employed by Canna-Doctors of America) to give patients a medical marijuana recommendation for those patients that qualify with the following conditions:

  • Anxiety

  • ALS (Lou Gehrig’s)

  • Anorexia

  • Arthritis

  • Back Pain

  • Cachexia (Wasting Syndrome)

  • Cancer

  • Chron’s Disease

  • Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome

  • Diabetes

  • Epilepsy

  • Glaucoma

  • Hepatitis C

  • HIV

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (with chronic abdominal pain)

  • Lyme Disease

  • Migraine

  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Muscle Spasms

  • Muscular Dystrophy

  • Parkinson’s Disease

  • Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD)

  • Seizures

  • Severe & Chronic Pain

  • Severe Nausea

  • Sickle Cell Anemia

  • Spasticity

  • Any Terminal Condition

  • Other Debilitating Condition of Like, Kind, Or Class

The 2016 measure clarifies requirements for parental consent for the use of medical marijuana by minors and also further defines what is meant by ‘debilitating’ illnesses that would qualify for marijuana as a treatment option.
